Sleeping like a Baby

A special thank you to Auntie Millie, for entertaining Z for hours on end.

Z slept through the night two nights in a row while we were home! I woke up the next morning, convinced I'd slept through his crying at 4AM. Nope, Z was just worn out from all the playing!

(and guess what...he slept through the night again last night! 11-7!)

Z is blessed with a family that adores him (and I feel blessed to be a part of it too!)

This past weekend we were lucky enough to come home, and bring Zach to Meme's one year mass. Showing him off to his very large, loud, and loving family is always such a hoot. Zach was happy to held by his Great Great Auntie Annie, and he met his Great Great Auntie Eva too! Meme would have been proud of her charming great grandson, and how well behaved he was.

We miss you Meme! You are our bright, shining star!

Stand Up

It's not going to surprise me if Z skips crawling altogether, and goes straight for walking. He loves it when you let him grab onto your fingers, so he can pull himself up into a sitting position. He can't quite balance yet, but after he's been sitting, he wants you to help him stand up. He may have the chubbiest legs I've ever seen, but they are also so strong!

Zach did a great job supporting both of his teams this year, but we all know they can do better next season!

Z was adorable in the bathtub today...I got to listen to his first real giggle! Didn't have the video camera nearby...but this is pretty good too! He really enjoys bath time, smiles at me, kicks and splashes water everywhere. I end up as wet as he is. I think he would be happy if I let him stay in the tub all day...I take him out, and he wails! But at least I get to enjoy bath time now...I much prefer giggling to the incessant crying we used to suffer through!

15 weeks! (oh my goodness...)

Dada! *

Z has become such a chatterbox. He talks to me and Paul, he talks to himself, he talks to the elephant mobile hanging over his crib. It's so much fun to hear him stringing together syllables, like he's really trying to tell us something. Although I think most of the time he is trying to tell us that he is hungry--after he's talked for a few minutes, the chattering becomes louder and more insistent, until it crosses over into demanding wails.




*Paul is still hoping that will be Z's first word...I'm of course repeating Momma all day long...we will see!

Adventures of a SweaterVest Baby

Z's Great Aunt Catherine (as opposed to his great Aunt Catherine) gifted him with a delightful little sweater vest outfit...with one caveat--that she be able to see him before he outgrew it. Well, unfortunately my little Z is a bit of an eater, and outgrew the sweatervest sooner than expected. But we were able to take the SweaterVest Baby on a number of outings before the last time we put him in it and he nearly split the seams.

The fire is so delightful...

and so is spending time with Grandma Ann!
