Z enjoyed watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade far more than I had expected him to. I thought I'd put it on to keep me occupied and keep myself away from the pumpkin pie while we were waiting for family to come over. I had forgotten that the big stars of the parade isn't the cast from the Today show, but rather the cartoon characters like Snoopy and Sesame Street. Z loved the bright colors and the near constant singing and dancing. Not much could get him away from his Silo and Castle, but apparently the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was Z-approved.

apple of my eye
Zach is a curious, adventurous, hungry little guy. When he saw his Auntie Kitty eating her apple, he had to investigate. He wanted some of what she was having, so she gave him a little piece of apple, which he happily gobbled up. Auntie Kitty had to leave, and there was still some apple left, so it was handed off to me. Apparently I was not as attentive an apple-feeder, and when I wasn't looking, Z walked up and took a bite off right off the apple. He thought that was just the coolest. It was great, he wasn't just nursing the apple, he was actually taking appropriately sized little bites with his cute little teeth!

All Ears
I just love all the little hoodies and hats that have little ears sewn on, and luckily Z is tolerating having things on his head a little better now. Now I need to get him to keep his slippers and socks on!

roughin it with uncle rico
Z's uncles aren't afraid to get down on the ground and play hard. Personally I like how well he sleeps after good play session with his uncles!

this one's juuust right!
When Z decides he wants you to read him a book, and yes, Z decides, he insists on sitting in your lap. He just adores reading, and will pull all of the books off the shelf and totter over to you with one in each hand. He turns the pages when he's ready, whether you're finished reading or not. And when you get to the end, he signs, all done!
Thanks Poppa for giving in to Z's reading demands!
