This video certainly shows the difference between little boys and little girls. Z is a flashbang, boom on the ground, throwing himself around without regard for his own, or other's safety. Contrast this with Mara, who is the picture of dainty elegance, gracefully placing herself on the carpeting.

Baby, it's cold outside.

 

Z's first venture out into the cold, Iowa snow was met with mixed reviews. He was amused by the stuff falling from the sky, but my rookie mom mistake of not keeping his ankles (cankles?) better protected from the cold, wet stuff on the ground cut the trip outside short. Plus, it doesn't help that he is a bit marshmallow man in his coat, and has trouble walking in it, even when there isn't several inches of snow on the ground!

I just can't get over Zach refusing the pumpkin pie (this little boy never refuses dessert!) and his giggle when the air squirts out is priceless.

I don't know what it was that changed Zachary's mind about bath time, but he asks everyday for us to please give him a bath. The other morning, Z realized Dada was in the shower, and insisted on joining him. It was all I could do to get his clothes off before he climbed into the tub.

FYI

After several weeks without my laptop, we are back in action here at the Corriveau house (thanks to Paulie for his super laptop repair skills! We may be down 2GB of RAM, but my lappy is booting!). I did my best to cobble together posts from my phone and Paul's work laptop while we were out of town, but it wasn't always pretty (See the Reindeer Games post from a few posts ago if you don't know what I mean...) 

I am working on getting us caught up, but as you know, I was already several weeks behind schedule even before the Great Lappy Crash of 2010. Expect a flurry of activity in the coming days (including Z's first snowventure!). Now that we have our awesome smartphones (thanks Dad/Pepere!) we are also going to be updating the blog to include more video.

Thanks all for your patience, and continued dedication to PBandZ. I think 2011 is going to be a great year!
