Z Rollin

You don't get much exercise riding around on a motorcycle...but you sure do look cool. It's ok though bubs, I don't have any time to exercise. And sadly it's not because I'm too busy looking cool on my black motorcycle. Maybe I should  find a workout that uses a baby for weight resistance. And a distracting 3 year old would really help me work on my focus and zen. Yeah. I know. I'll just try to keep my fingers out of the cookie jar. That's probably my best bet right now, because running up and down the stairs holding squirmy babies and wrangling a toddler will only get me so far!

bearly contain myself

This was one of my most favorite outfits ever that Zachary wore when he was little, and I could hardly wait to dress Elara in it. Thank goodness I had this outfit in two sizes..my babies get big fast! Elara is already wearing clothes sized 9 months. It isn't so much the chub like it was with Zachary, we had to size up for her because of how long she is! I don't think this outfit is going to last us through the winter, but I'll squeeze her into it as long as I possibly can. I am such a sucker for baby hats with ears!

barely grazing the floor

E is really starting to love her exersaucer...but when we first started putting her in it, she wasn't heavy enough/tall enough to reach the floor! She will happily sit in the jumper, looking at the toys, or watching her brother play in the play room. But she really gets mad when she can't reach one of the toys to put it in her mouth! You'll definitely hear it when she starts getting frustrated. I had to add extra links to all the toys, so that they wouldn't be too far away for her to grab, and so they wouldn't end up on the floor and cause an E-Meltdown.

Drama Queen

It's always fun to have an excuse to get all dressed up and have your picture taken. Unless you're Elara, apparently. Then you get dressed up, have your picture taken, and then have your regularly scheduled temper tantrum! Oh my goodness, the screams coming out of this little girl right now...You'd think she was dying, but really she just doesn't want you to put her down long enough to pour her brother a bowl of cereal. She screams until her voice is hoarse, then continues to scream until she makes herself puke. This basically means we sometimes have to rush through a diaper change like we're the lead car in a high speed chase, and that we are not going to be practicing the cry it out sleep training method any time soon. So don't blame Elara's Godfather Jonathan for the screams, Elara just has a flair for drama, and a very definite temper.

Meet Finch O'Meely

Meeting Zachary's friends.

Stealing a bowl of Z's cheerios.
Swinging from the banana tree.
Escaping from a hungry alligator.
Joy ride in Zachary's jeep.
Reading a christmas story.
Drinking an entire bottle of syrup.
Swinging on the Christmas lights.
Elf on the Shelf is apparently everywhere right now..including the Corriveau house! Zachary met our elf scout the day after Thanksgiving, when we decorate the tree at Grandma Ann's house. We read the book, and Zachary named him Finch O'Meely. Apparently our elf is Irish. Finch has been up to no good ever since! Zachary loves coming down in the morning to discover what Finch has been up to.

Congratulations to Elara Lily and Cassidy Quinn on their Baptism! We were very happy to share this special day with these two sweet girls.

We are also thrilled to have Auntie Kitty and Uncle Jonathan as godparents to Elara, she is a lucky little girl!

Tap Tap...Guard Up!

Zachary's newest adventure is a Kinder Karate class, and it is SO MUCH FUN! We go Fridays at 4, and Saturday mornings at 9. It was initially a bit of a challenge to get Zachary past his inhibitions, but he is warming up nicely. There are only a handful of kids in the class, and the teachers are friendly and welcoming. Zachary is hardheaded, and wants to do things on his own terms. If the teacher is encouraging kids to run a lap, Zachary will want to walk. Typically though, by the second or third lap he is running full out! He loves the obstacle courses the teacher sets up, and jumping makes him giggle. He has learned blocking, kicking, punching, and confidence. And because the parents participate in the class, it's a workout for me too!
