The stars finally align, both of my little ones are looking right at the camera...and Auntie Kitty looks away! I'm so not surprised! This is why I take dozens and dozens of pictures, because I'm still holding out hope that the perfect picture will snap into place. But if you're hoping to scroll down past this blurb and see these three smiling and looking at the camera, dream on!

Bubble Trouble
A little bit of a drizzly day won't stop Z and me from sneaking outside during Elara's nap to blow some bubbles and get some run around time in.

Tight Squeeze
It's a tight squeeze because when you have great grandchildren, or a wonderful grandmother, you want to hold them close and never let them go!

You are my sunshine..
On a drizzly, dreary, rainy day like today, I'm glad to have bright pictures like this to make me smile. We're "stuck" inside the house, playing with play dough, watching movies, having tea parties and reading lots of books. The rain is just an excuse to get creative with our play inside. Plus--if we don't go anywhere, we can just hang out in our jammies all day, right?
Sweethearts
These two make my heart melt! I'm glad they are getting along so well. I'll have to remember these moments when the are older and driving each other nuts. Maybe I'll print this picture and hang it in Z's room, to remind him that once-upon-a-time he adored his baby sister!

You're So Vain...
Elara loves to look in a mirror. She smiles at herself, and turns her shoulder in coyly. She plays a game with her Daddy, that seems to have saved her mood over and over. It basically involves Daddy holding her, looking at each other in the mirror together, and saying, "It's Daddy and Elara in the mirror!" Simple, but effective! So after all that, when I saw this little vanity, I knew my daughter needed to have it.

comfort
just a sweet little moment, my babies still in their jammies, enjoying the sun streaming into the living room, and the comfort of being together. i just want to hang onto moments like these forever, and appreciate my little ones while they are still little.
Jump a little higher.
Not sure how much longer the exersaucer is going to be hanging out in the play room, but it has recently had a bit of a revival. As E has become a little bit more independent, she seems to be enjoying standing and jumping and playing in it. She certainly has gotten bigger since some of her first jumps!

Doesn't matter if you're black or white...
My kids are my favorite subject for a photo...but sometimes it's nice to document momma and daddy too!
