There and Back Again

From Nonna, to Momma. From Momma to Nonna. He doesn't so much walk, as throw himself forward and hope his feet catch him as he goes! Z never grows tired of this game!

Z has been practicing walking, as often as we can stand it, and a little bit longer than that. He walks until his legs collapse underneath him, and we have to wipe the sweat off his brow.  He's already gone from needing to hold on with both hands, to insisting that he only hold on with one. He walks around and around the island in the kitchen, pausing only to admire, and try to eat, the magnets on the fridge. I think he'll be walking unassisted by his birthday. He'll look like a drunk doing it, and he'll certainly add to his collection of bumps, bruises, and scrapes, but what he lacks in coordination and balance, he makes up for with raw enthusiasm and determination. GO Z!

The End of Naptime As You Knew It

 

Z's crib has now been moved several times. We moved him twice so that he couldn't reach the door handle, and now we've had to move him again, so he can't reach the baby monitor camera hanging on the wall above the crib. This was probably 15 minutes into his nap. He apparently wasn't that tired...

One, Two, THREE!!

 

Z's communication has ramped up so much recently. He's giving the sign for eat, milk, and diaper. He's finishing up the abc's whenever I sing them by saying Z (or at least his interpretation of Z!) and as this video shows, he's saying 3!

Nonna and Poppa Trail

Okay, fine. It's the Ma and Pa Trail, but it was great to have Nonna and Poppa walk the trail with us!

It's also great to let the boys do all the heavy pushing...

A Rock in the Park

Elektra wants to come on the hike too.

But Zach is heavy enough without adding the kitty to the backpack.

This was at the start of the hike, that's why Daddy isn't exhausted and sweaty yet.
