Stocking up on Awesomesauce

A lifetime supply of applesauce for most people, would probably only last for a few weeks at our house. My kids can EAT--they are bottomless pits, so something they adore, like applesauce, goes fast!

CHAOS. FUN.

Picnics, adventures, vikings and stuffed animals. Toys scattered to every corner of my house. Kids running around in their pjs. And smiles on every face you see. I don't mind a little craziness and chaos in the name of fun times! Plus the littles "help" clean up at the end of playtime. Riiiiight.

Another Happy Birthday!

Apparently the season of birthday parties is upon us! Now that my kids are both a little older, they are being invited to more and more friends' birthday parties. Makes for lots of cake and ice cream and fun weekends. I think Zachary has another 3 birthday parties to attend, just in the next month. This one was a birthday party for one of our dear friends--and she (and her momma!) know how to have a good party! We celebrated B's 4th birthday at the same gymnasium that holds Zachary's karate and Elara's gymnastics. Happy Happy Birthday! 

High Ranker

When Zachary walked up to receive his promotion from blue belt to purple belt, he whispered to Sensei Ralph, "I have been so excited for this to happen!" He absolutely earned this promotion, sparring with the heavybag all by myself (while the rest of the class had other students sparring at the same time.) He is now the highest rank in the class! 

Elara is probably the highest rank in the spectators. She kicks and punches and does jumping jacks along with the class. Luckily she'll be starting karate herself this summer.
