The BEST!

I am madly in love with this little boy! He couldn't possibly be smarter, cuter, more affectionate or loving than he already is. And now all the writing, and reading, and pre-algebra skills, I'm in awe. We only have 20-something days of school left, and they've already crammed so much learning in the first 160 days of school, they could take the next few weeks off and I'd still be impressed. I am so lucky to have a little boy who loves me as much as I love him. I'm in no rush for him to grow up, because I like him just the way he is right now--but I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this growing up thing too. I love you too Zachary, but I think YOU are the best person on Earth!!

post breakfast workout

After an absolutely delicious breakfast at Kitchen Little, we stopped at the Gracie Park near the Mystic Y. We definitely needed to burn off some of our cinnamon bun frenchtoast! I particularly like this park, because of the gorgeous views of the water and the beach, the bright colors, and the fact that there are no swings. I'm all for a good swing, but Elara is single minded on this matter. If there are swings, she isn't interested in a single other attraction at the park. She just wants to be pushed on the swing--which doesn't exactly get her much exercise! So I like that at this park, she happily runs around and plays. It makes nap time SO much better!

Something's Fishy...

Zachary loves his lists, and we had a really great list of things to do while he was on spring break and Grandma Elaine was visiting. First up, a family favorite--the Mystic Aquarium!

Nice in Stripes

The benefit/downfall of being the daughter of a photographer--you get to be (have to be!) a test subject when your momma is setting up for a photo shoot. :) At least Elara is comfortable in front of a camera--she's not afraid to show her true stripes!
