Ye Olde Mystic Aquarium Village

Since they are right next door, we like to do back to back visits to the aquarium and old mystic village. To make things even more interesting, the aquarium is open late on  monday nights in August, and as members we were able to get in. It was great wandering around the Village, doing a little souvenir shopping, but even cooler to have a trip the aquarium where Big Daddy Paul can join us, and there aren't too many other people there.

2!

I'm now 4 months behind on the blog. I have been busy with this little guy, and between Christmas shopping, and photo shoots, my little bits of free time have been pretty well used up. This little man is a pretty happy little dude--especially if you hold him all the time. He likes to babble, and he's rolling over, and twice in the last six months he's slept through the night for me. Of course the first time he did it, Elara woke up in the middle of the night, and the second night I stayed up later than I would have, waiting for him to wake up so I could go to bed for a longer stretch. That did not work out the way I had hoped. His big brother and big sister love him to pieces. They insist on kisses before bed, and Elara still asks to hold him, even though he's quickly catching up to her in size. He lights up when his Daddy comes into his line of sight, and he is more vocal when you're changing his diaper than any other time, except maybe if you're trying to watch a show, or make an important phone call.

not subpar

My kids love going to the sub museum--I think it's because Daddy brings them! Auntie Kitty and Alex added a trip to the sub museum as part of their whirlwind tour of New England (this trip came with a side of meeting Barrett!)  Paul always has lots of great stories and information to share about the submarines, and the kids get such a kick out of looking through periscopes, and holding the audio tour electronic thingies. Yeah, that's a technical term in my book. That's why we leave the tour guide duties to Big Daddy Paul.
