If only he slept as good as he looks! We've been struggling the last few days, with a little boy who doesn't want to sleep. We've had months of easy bedtimes, and sleeping through the night, but not so much anymore. He wakes up in the middle of the night, and stays awake for hours. We try cuddling, and singing, and ignoring...and as soon as he is put back to bed, he screams.
I know part of the problem is teething, he's working on his 2 bottom canines, but I think the rest of the problem is he's growing up. He is old enough now to know that bedtime means no more mom and dad, and no more playtime, Barney, or Elmo. And he doesn't like that. At all.
In addition, after weeks of trying, he's finally tall enough to climb out of his crib. It's a fairly impressive ninja move, that involves swinging his legs up behind him, and pivoting across the corner of the crib, and then lowering himself down to standing. (Standing!) But it was scary enough that Paul installed the toddler rail, of course making it that much easier for Z to jump out of bed and protest sleeping.
Even nap time is a NO!. Something's gotta give, I'm just afraid it won't be Z!
