This trip to the park took all of us to keep up with my kiddos, although for my part, I just sat on the picnic bench with Elara. I did enjoy watching Z run around with Poppa and Auntie Kitty, and Nonna was our photographer for the day. It all worked out in the end, thanks to some team work.

Family Tree
Zachary has been working on relationships lately. He already pairs people up--Nonna+Poppa, Uncle Robert+Amanda, Auntie Christine+Uncle JonJon, but we're working on taking it one step further. We had fun trying to convince him that I was both his Momma, and Elara's Momma, and that Nonna is my Momma, and Grandma Ann is Big Daddy Paul's Momma.
Kitchen Little Deja Vu
This cozy little breakfast place with a great view (and a pretty drive to get there) is fast becoming a local favorite. We had such a yummy breakfast on Friday, we went back to Kitchen Little again on Saturday! (Make sure you check out the specials--we've had everything from Portuguese Sweet Bread French Toast and Pineapple Brown Sugar Pancakes to omelets packed full of brie and apples!)

The Fort and the Dragon
Don't worry Grandma, the cushions from the beautiful patio furniture you got us are getting extensive use. Of course, lately they have seen the inside of the living room more than the deck, but they make awesome fort walls! Thanks for the multi-purpose gift! Also, a big thanks to Elara for letting Poppa use her boppy pillow as dragon wings--they really added that extra special touch to the game.
hide and go z
Zachary was hiding from Poppa in the bin full of stuffed animals. Thanks to Nonna, he had a sweater to help him blend in with the bears and lions and elmos. It was pretty much the only place he hid for a long stretch. But since he has been hiding in the toy box for the last billion times, it was a refreshing change of pace.

Fuzzy (as a) Chick
Almost always, the first remark from someone about Elara, (after how cute/adorable/beautiful/sweet she is of course) is how much hair she has. It's not quite as dark as her daddy's hair, but she has a lot of it. After a bath, it gets so soft and fuzzy, and it looks like she has even more of it!

Bath Buddies
It's always a good day when both Momma and Baby are able to get clean. Elara seemed okay with the sponge bath at first, I think she was enjoying the warm water. But that quickly deteriorated, and didn't improve until she was fully dressed again! Not surprised, her brother wasn't a fan of his first sponge bath either!
