All prettied up for Corine's baby shower, Elara is definitely looking less like a little baby, and more like a tiny toddler. (and clearly she gets some of her pretty from her Auntie Christine and Grandma Ann!) Now all we are missing is the toddling part--although I am impressed by the speed at which she has picked up her newest skill. Eating cereal! We started her on cereal just before Christmas, and she has taken to it like an old pro. Usually there is an adjustment for little ones; they have to learn not to thrust their tongues and push the food out. Not E, she swallowed easily and was opening her mouth like a baby bird waiting for the next bite, and grabbing for the spoon if I wasn't fast enough. It's hard to believe she's already 5 months, and eating solid foods.
