Hold Still Z!!

 

Trying to get Z to hold still for a picture, is nearly impossible these days. But we needed a 10 month old shot of Z next to the monster, and Gunner, and the rest of his minions! He's so fast, as soon as you get him set up with the stuffed animals, he's already trying to crawl off the couch. And if you don't help him down, he will dive off head first. (yes, we've had some near misses!) Once he's off the couch, he'll hold himself up and stand there, looking around for a moment. I think what he's really looking for is an escape route, but he settles for crawling or cruising as fast as he can to a toy, or a momma or dada. This really is a snapshot of my life right now: Chasing Z, while trying to make it all look good!

We had an awesome month Auntie Kitty! You certainly know how to make us all laugh and smile. We'll share you with Iowa for a little while, but we want you to ourselves again soon!!

So Big!

Z is not always a fan of bath-time. Sometimes he happily kicks and splashes, and other times, he kicks and screams, and tries to climb out. But he always loves cuddling up in a towel after the bath, and I love it when the towel has ears!

Can't we keep her??

She may sleep a lot, but Auntie Kitty is so much fun when she's awake!  We've been so spoiled the last month...especially since she isn't afraid of a poopy diaper...that means a lot to Z, and even more to Z's momma! We really don't want to send her home...

Rockin Out @ Rocks State Park

Hiking in the woods with a baby strapped to your back is a ton of fun! Especially when you're the one riding in the backpack! (By the way, check out that wave in the first one, he's so good!)

It's such a hot and sunny day, baby Z just wants to play.

Thanks to a beach umbrella, and a cooler full of water and sandwiches, Z, Auntie Kitty, Momma and Dada were able to survive a 100 degree plus day at Delaware Seashore State Park Beach. AND, no sunburns for any of us!

waterfires

Z had his first trip to Waterfires this last time we visited New England. He was asleep when we first got there, but woke up and took in the tribal music, and just stared at the fire out on the river. We even had a great encounter with one of the performing artists, the gargoyle. We got Zach right up to the front row, where he caught sight of the Gargoyle, and does as Zachary always does to the newest person in the room. He pointed! Well, the Gargoyle pointed back at him, in an evil, Gargoylish way!

And!! Z got his first taste of Del's Frozen Lemonade--thankfully Momma carries baby spoons in her purse, everywhere she goes!

Eat Your Heart Out

Laura was enjoying a ripe summer peach, Jayden was noshing on some delicious watermelon, and Zach was passed out after eating Auntie Ginnie's grilled chicken, farm fresh corn on the cob, and baked beans. These babies know how to live it up!
