Storming the Castle

Watch out Princesses, we're almost to the castle!

A Lesiurely Pace

When you're walking with Z, you're really forced to walk at a snail's pace. It's nice though, especially at a place like Disney. You're not in a hurry, and there are lots of things to see. Maybe Z's just using it as an excuse to hang out with his Uncles even longer.

Characterization

So maybe the Beast wasn't the most reasonable first character for Z to interact with. Chip and Dale of Tomorrowland seem to have been a little less intimidating for him. He even gave a high-five! Afterward, he kept telling me that the nice chipmunks pet his back!

Going Going Gone

Uncle Ben has a thing for introducing Z to new things. First he formally requested to be there when Z had his first taste of ice cream, even if it was just a lick. This time he asked to give Z his first bite of cotton candy. I didn't get to capture Z's delight on film, because I was too busy chasing him down with his sugar buzz! Thanks Uncle Ben, just remember, you're going to have kids one day too. =)

Hold on Tight, Some More

Pretty sure there was no risk of Z falling off Uncle Robert's shoulders in Tomorrowland!

Hold On Tight

As far as rides go at Disney World, the steam engine ride from Main Street to Frontierland is pretty tame. That didn't stop us from taking the entire loop and then going halfway around again!

Hidey Hole

I can NEVER let this little dude out of my sight, because if I did, I might never find him again! He can find a hiding place anywhere..

Aligning the Fates

Trying to get a two year old to look at the camera and smile, long enough to snap the picture, can be a nearly impossible task. Add in his Daddy and Uncles, who have already been halfway around the world beer tasting, and you'll never win!!

We All Wet!

There was just enough of a breeze, that you could feel the mist coming off of the fountains, and Zachary joked that we were getting all wet. He and Grandpa didn't seem to mind the water (not that Z ever does!), and got up nice and close for a good view of the show!

What a Character!

On and off at the parks we would see character meet and greets, and I would ask Z if he wanted to meet any of them. He declined each and every time. He'd happily stand nearby, and watch the character interacting with people, but never showed any inclination that he was interested in doing it himself. Until I asked if he wanted to meet the Beast, and to all of our surprise, he said, "yes!" He patiently waited in line, and when it was our turn, steadfastly refused to get any closer! I finally convinced him that I would come up with him, and Mame was able to snap a few pictures of Z looking pretty miserable. Then as we we're walking away, he finally gave the beast a little high-five, followed up with the command, "Go away, Beast!"

I was convinced I'd traumatized him, but he spent the rest of the day happily recounting his visit with Beast.

Under the Sea

Our first night at Disney, we went to dinner at the Coral Reef for dinner. An entire wall of the restaurant is a huge fish tank, and we spotted a turtle and  shark! We had wandered around Epcot all day, and Zachary had the most fun at the Seas with Nemo and Friends. While dinner was wrapping up, I took Z back to the Nemo ride. Since there was no line, we rode three more times!
