The littles just love playing in the snow. For about 15 minutes. Then they're cold and wet, and ready for some hot chocolate. Especially with as hard as it is to walk on this snow. For all the mountains of snow--we haven't even been able to build a proper snowman yet. But we do practically walk through a tunnel going down the sidewalk!

With more than a handful of snow days under our belt now, we are getting pretty good at keeping ourselves busy inside, when there's no school, and it's too cold or yucky to go anywhere. Play-do, screen time, lots of drawing, dance parties, and baking are just a few things we busy ourselves with. If only we could get a few snow days for Big Daddy Paul too!

On Valentine's Day my heart melted. Zachary says to me: Momma, if I was all grown up, and you weren't married to Daddy, I would marry you myself!
He also asked me, "What's your favorite flavor Momma?" I had to stop and think, and to buy some time, I asked him what his favorite flavor was. He tells me: I have two: chocolate, and sour. Then I asked Elara. Her response: red, and frosting! So I told them, my two favorite flavors are Zachary and Elara!

It's just a little bit of snow, right? So much that the littles have trouble walking in it; they more like crawl on top of it. They have to practically walk through tunnels to get to the bus stop in the morning, and to get to the backyard, we had to scale the fence. At least there was plenty of soft snow for them to land on on the other side! We just keep piling up the snow drifts, and the snow days. At this rate, my kids will be wearing snowboots, and still have class in July when the new baby gets here!
