A few mornings ago, Zachary provided me with his latest observation. "Momma, there are two places we have to be quiet. Church, and Weight Watchers." We must be doing something right! Z's favorite part of Elias' baptism was the "parade" at the end, and my favorite part was Grandma Ann and Auntie Ginnie taking up an E-Collection at the end of the service. Congratulations Elias!

Party Poopers, I mean People

Man...that was such a great party, I passed out on the way home!

Congratulations to Josh Corriveau the new doctor of pharmacy in the family. Or, as Zachary called him, a Farmer-cist. We were happy to help him celebrate at his graduation party.

What a Beach!

We drove around until the kiddos were passed out in the back seat. Then we drove to the beach and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the pretty view. Then E woke up, but she was happy to eat puffs and play peek a boo in the mirror with me. Auntie Kitty got her beach fix, and we all went home in much better moods. It's nice to have this right down the street!

Double Down

My apologies to those of you who get the blog emailed out to you. I forgot that I had already posted about Dominic's Baby Shower, and posted again. I'm not gonna lie, being Elara's Momma is exhausting! She wakes up at 4:30 most mornings, and I'm just a little worn down. I can't seem to get to bed much before 10, so that leaves me with approximately 6 hours of (usually) interrupted sleep. Add in a decent work out schedule, and an almost 4 year old...I might just be a  Mombie! Thank goodness Auntie Kitty came out for a nice long visit, waking up with Z, and letting me nap when E naps...wish you could have stayed the whole summer!!

A Mother's Day

My day, my choice, right? A few years ago, if you had asked me how I would like to spend mother's day, I probably would have asked for sleeping in late, going out for a fancy brunch, then coming back and relaxing at home. I haven't changed enough to want to wake up early; sleep is precious at this house! But, now I want to be active with my family. I love nothing more than getting out of the house, and doing things. I'd been driving by a sign for a trail for the last year, and had been wanting to go, and we'd just never gotten around to checking it out. Well, for mother's day, we went. It was so much fun! Zachary now declares he loves hiking in the woods, and can't wait to go again. I agree completely!

pianissimo, not so much.

My kids aren't quiet. There's just no way around it. They bang toys, and scream in happiness. They sing at the top of their lungs, and they pound their feet when they walk. Zachary runs, and Elara squeals in delight at his antics. It's all music to my ears.
