Animal Rescue League

Animal Rescue League is officially one of Zachary's most favorite games. This was a Poppa special one day while he was visiting. I'll do my best to describe the game, though I'm sure I'm not getting it precisely the way Zachary would like it. (Since Poppa's departure, we have tried to play, and I get the impression Z is only just tolerating me as a playmate. Poppa is way better.) So you dress up your stuffed animals as superheros, by putting a bib on them backwards. Then you have to consult the oracle, to find out which animal is in trouble. The oracle points you in the direction of your fallen comrade, and the animal rescue league super heroes are off on a rescue mission! You bring the animal in danger back to safety, and then you consult the oracle again. Z would happily play this game all day, and Elara is happy to supervise.

Thanks Poppa.

Love Thy Neighbor

Psst....Wanna know a secret?
Elara has a boyfriend! Okay, so it's really just the younger guy next door. Colin is a cute little blue-eyed 9  month old, and Elara is quite smitten. They are great at keeping each other entertained. She talks to him whenever she sees him, and her face just lights up when she spots him.

Pretty sure she was going in for a kiss in that last picture... If they get married some day, I'm having this blog post printed in the program. :P

PlayPal

Elara gets a little bit more independent each day. Playing with toys in the play room, and not making an immediate bee line for me in the kitchen or mudroom (or the bathroom!). But, she is WAY more likely to happily play if she has her brother nearby to keep her entertained. Thanks Bubs!

Don't Feed the Animals

I know Zachary loves animals, and Elara seemed to have a good time, but I'm not sure who had more fun at the zoo: me, or the kids! Nonna and Poppa came with us to the Roger Williams Zoo, and although Zachary was sad there were no lions, we had a nice visit with the moon bear, the red panda, and many other cool animals.

Pleased Poppa

Two grandchildren must be at least twice as much fun, right Poppa? There's not much time to sit and relax when you come visit the Corriveau house. If Z isn't busy running you around the house, E will gladly keep your hands full!
