Hello my beautiful little girl. No longer a tiny baby, my one year old little Elara. My baby girl-turned toddler. My almost walking, almost talking, almost not-chubby, but not quite. I want to know who and what you are going to be when you are older, really, I do. But I'm not ready to give up on my sweet cuddly baby. The little one who still needs her momma more than anything. Not even coffee makes me happy to wake up at 4am, but your sweet smile makes 4am somehow less painful. You are wonderful right now, and I just want to kiss you to pieces, and hold onto the littleness for a little longer.

My sister Christine was a beautiful Momma-to-Be, and now that Dominic is here, she's a beautiful Momma. Thanks for letting me be bossy and play photographer! Plus a big thanks to Linwood for letting us use his backyard as our backdrop, if I charged for these pictures, I'd have to give him a percentage!!

We enjoyed a wonderful visit with Auntie Christine and Uncle Jon Jon at their house, and celebrated father's day with Pepere, Big Daddy Paul and (then) Daddy-to-be Jonathan. Zachary still talks about the grilled cheese Uncle Jon Jon made him--on the grill!

Happy Father's Day Big Daddy Paul, or as Z has taken to calling you lately, Dad-Oh! You are wonderful to us, and make this holiday such an easy one to celebrate. Thanks for everything you do--I know you sacrifice pretty much all of your free time to make our lives better. And you look good doing it, too. =)

Doesn't matter to Elara where we are, at our own kitchen table, or out for a nice Father's Day Brunch at Chardonnay's, she goes right ahead and makes herself comfortable.
