That's what she said.

Zachary got the biggest kick out of feeding the goats, and then the fish and ducks. Auntie Lizzie apparently really missed Samer, because she kept trying to kiss all the animals. Llamas don't make good Samer Substitutes though...at least that's what she said.

Bird of The Day

Zachary started saying that the bird Scully (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) was the Bird of the Day, complete with Bird of the Day song. So Lorakeets can be today's bird of the day, but you'll have to ask Zachary about the song. I love feeding the birds here, and at Birds of the Outback at Mystic Aquarium. It's especially fun when they haven't had a lot of visitors, and swarm around you for a snack. Zachary is really good at feeding them, and Elara spends the whole time reaching her chubby arms out, hoping to catch a handful of bird. Luckily her arms aren't too long yet!

Monkey Business

Our trip to Niabi Zoo was a lot of fun, and everyone got a little in touch with their wild side. Zachary didn't want to make a monkey face with Uncle Robert, but he was happy to put on his pretend mustache.

It's always helpful for the kids to have a change of scenery. A trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house is always nice, but when you add in new toys (and people) for the kids to play with, and a meal I don't have to prepare--we're all happy!!
