Spooky

Thanks to hurricane sandy, we  still don't have internet, but at least we have power back! I'm making a quick post on my phone to tide everyone over!

These are a few pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Paul took us on a mystery ride!

Happy Halloween!

Bomb Fire!

Zachary is totally spoiled by his Uncles. He said, "May we please have a bomb-fire?" Someone told him earlier in the day what the fire pit was, and they couldn't wait to indulge him! I can't bring myself to tell him it's actually bonfire. Bomb-fire is just too much fun!

updated!

Zachary has a new bucaneers jersey, and he and Poppa needed an updated picture. It's been awhile! I tried to get some pictures of Elara in her adorable bucs onesies...but she decided to have a blowout two minutes after I got her dressed. Maybe that's why we're having such a rough season!

What's better than playing with knights and pirates (dudes!) and your little toy castle? Playing sword fight and knock you over with Poppa! Zach had so much fun playing this with Poppa, he just laughed hysterically the entire time. Although he did get pretty bossy when Poppa didn't play by the rules. He was supposed to let Z stab him, and then fall to the ground. Oh, and when Z decides it's time for you to get up, you had better get up. Or risk being forcefully gotten up. I may have seen Z try to pull Poppa up by his ear. But I'm not telling.

Absolutes

Right now Ben and Robert (and Amanda!) are living at what will always feel like Mame's house. I went over to help go through Mame's stuff, trying to decide what things I wanted to keep, what things needed to go to auction. And sure, they're just things, but they were her things, and that makes it hard. I found myself especially missing her, as I was looking through the holiday decorations. She had so much fun, and found so much joy in being festive, and decorating her house. But as I decorated my house for Halloween, I felt so connected to her. It was wonderful. Can't wait to decorate for another holiday.
