Park-ing Pass

If you had to pay to go to the park, we'd totally have to get an annual pass, because we go all the time. I like to get the kids out of the house at least once a day, and I love that they burn off some energy, and sleep a little better. Even I'm in a better mood after chasing Z around the playground, and pushing Elara on the swing.

The kids really aren't picky about which park we go to, but they have learned that parks are even better when Nonna and Poppa come with! Zachary didn't have Rocketship Park on his list, but this was his first visit, and I have a feeling it will be on the list next visit!

Honk Honk, Beep Beep

Oh, Zachary and Elara. Do you have any idea how good you have it? Your Nonna and Poppa wanted you to have a great visit to Iowa, and it wasn't good enough to work on a 25 item to-do list, or play with all the awesome Iowa toys, they wanted you to zip around in a little pink buggy and a new scooter. And you hardly cared about the skinned knees, or accidental trips into the bushes. You calmly called Uncle Robert, "A little help here please?" and got back up on your new wheels. Thanks Nonna and Poppa!

Jump Right In

As soon as we made it to Iowa, E and Z were ready to reacquaint themselves with all of the fun toys they left behind the last time we were there. Of course, what they don't realize is that many of these toys were played with by their Momma, and Aunts and Uncles, when they were little. They were just happy to play with toys, and get started right away on The To Do List previously made by Nonna and Zachary. Nonna was mostly just a secretary, as Zachary rattled off a lengthy list for us to tackle while we were in town. With 25 items on the list, we didn't waste any time in getting number 5 crossed off the list: Pool at Uncles.
