BinHead

Just some random moments from our day. Elara making a goat jump around and make noises, and Zachary...wearing a toy bin on his head? Whatever makes you happy little ones.

App-titude

Oh, the tablet. A well loved toy at our house. We have to limit Z's tablet time, because he would happily play all day long. We went to a pumpkin carving party, and once Z warmed up, and realized he had a captive audience, he told some of the party goers all about the games he plays on the tablet. Including all the characters in every game, and their backstory. Sorry to the couple who were sitting across the table from us...

It also makes his sister a little jealous. She wants to steal it from him and tap indiscriminately at the screen, hoping baby Einstein will magically start playing.  Sorry Chica, you'll figure it out eventually. For now--ask your brother, he probably knows how to work it better than me.

Quick--A Parade!

Auntie Ginnie was on her way home from the market, when she noticed a parade being lined up. She called and told us, and a few minutes later we were out the door to pick her up and find the parade route. Zachary waved and Elara watched intently. Zachary's favorite part of the parade--they threw candy at him!

When Big Daddy Paul's Away....

The babies will play! (at grandma ann's house, because momma needs the help!) Daddy spent 5 weeks in Norfolk, so BZandE escaped to Grandma Ann and Linwood's house for a few days to get share the love (and the work!)

OMNOMDOM

Hey Auntie Christine and Uncle Jon Jon--looks like you have a potential babysitter lined up. Z's a great candidate. He'll hold the bottle for at LEAST a minute, and he won't whine about how long it's taking until the last 45 seconds! Fair warning, Dominic will probably have sore abs from all the giggling at his cousin.  I can't promise much with diaper changes, but you need that night out right? You can pay Zachary in gummy bears and free apps on the tablet. You're welcome.

Beauty and the Beasty Boy

Both Zachary and Elara seem to be settling into themselves personality wise right now. Elara is walking confidently all over the house and the neighborhood, brushing away my offer to hold her hand and keep her from tumbling headlong down the hill to the big pile of rocks. Zachary is going off to sea school, acing Karate Belt tests and developing a great sense of humor. I call Z into assist with diaper changes. He's in charge of keeping Elara entertained and distracted--knock knock jokes and physical humor play a big role. They are typical brother and sister, loving all over each other one minute, and then throwing down the next. I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time acting as referee!
