Eat!

Whether it was the dinner company, the meals themselves, or the cake, it was all delicious! Of course, I'm 7 months pregnant, so I would dedicate an entire blog post to the eating part of the festivities!

Negative Attitude

Hysterical video of Z and Uncle Robert:

Party Bus! (Drink!)

There are a lot of things to do when you're getting ready for a really good time. We would have to personally recommend you start the night right by hydrating with a SCorriveau Home Brew. The first batch of Nut Brown Ale was a rousing success. I hear there is a Hefeweizen in the works, but you'll just have to wait with the rest of the fans to hear more about that. Another thing you'll need to do to get ready, is make sure you're dressed to the nines. Personally, I think Zachary was dressed to a 10! Also, make sure you arrive in style. Our short bus wasn't short on good drinks, good times or good looking people. :)

Be Married!

We decided it would be best if Zachary didn't interrupt the happy couple's big moment, so Nonna kept him occupied until we could meet up with them at the big party. This means I was able to enjoy the beautiful ceremony without trying to keep a 2-year-old entertained. We are so happy to see Christine and Jonathan become Mrs. and Mr! (and to be invited to the big party!)

Practice Session

I really wanted to make a joke about how the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner went off without a hitch, but I already did that for the Bridal Shower Post! But it was a good practice for the real-deal coming up the next day. Thankfully Nonna had her phone with, because Z spent much of the dinner watching How to Train Your Dragon. And even though it was waaaay past bedtime, he did look really good with Grandma Ann next to Denise (Uncle JonJon's Momma) and her grandson Julian!

HoneyMooners

While Auntie Christine and Uncle JonJon were off on their wedding and honeymoon adventures, we were lucky to have a couple of furry visitors at our house. Zachary was thrilled to keep Elektra and Tabasco on their toes! They actually got along surprisingly well. Tabasco would come to visit Z as soon as he woke up from his afternoon nap, and Elektra would come down in the morning to enjoy some sunshine and a nuzzle from Z. He especially enjoyed giving them a treat everyday!

Rehearsal Breakfast

The day of the rehearsal started like a normal day for Zachary..with a big breakfast! I was asking if he wanted pancakes or waffles or eggs or sausages, and he pretty much said, "Yes, please!" We had a couple of big days ahead of us, so I figured why not. Then as he would tell you, he, "Ate it all up!"

He'll still occasionally ask for a bowl of cheerios and milk for breakfast, but the waffle and egg combo is the most common request. I hope the predictability is helpful while my family is waking up with Z and making him breakfast. It's strange to hear the normal breakfast chatter happening in the kitchen, and stay put in the living room or in my bed upstairs. I know I'm doing what's best for Elara, but it's hard to not do my normal momma-routine for Z. He's not used to it, and I'm not used to it. And neither one of us likes it much!

Nailed It

Lots of fun getting our nails done before Christine's wedding! Of course, while the girls were enjoying champagne, I had a Fresca...but it was still fun!

I'm starting to get closer to caught up in the blog, I'm only behind by about 3 weeks. Now that I'm on bed rest I should be able to get caught up, but man it's going to be hard seeing all of the fun outside-the-house adventures from before last week!I had a gel manicure done for the wedding, and I was surprised by how long it lasted, it really did hold up for almost 3 weeks. The biggest problem was the french tip was flaking off, and since I'm on bed rest I couldn't go to the nail salon to have the polish removed!

Make a Mess

What is it about little boys and their proclivity towards making messes? Z doesn't want to just play with his toys, first he wants to dump them out all over the floor, jumble them up with a few other toys, and then throw a few over his shoulder just for kicks. Then he'll proceed to play with them! Luckily we had Nonna around for a couple of days to help make (and clean up!) messes during C&J's wedding week. Not sure how we would have managed it otherwise, as you'll see in the upcoming blog posts, it was a whirlwind week.
