5 Awesome Years!

Seriously you guys, I just can't.

I can't believe it's been 5 years since I was in the hospital meeting Zachary for the first time. He is so much of the awesome. He makes me laugh every single day, and amazes me with his knowledge, memory, and insatiable curiosity. He's sweet and loving and everything a parent could ever dream of.

"I'm sorry to say, but I'm still hungry."
He loves all things chocolate and still doesn't like when there is stuff in his things, or things in his stuff. He is growing like a weed, and although he hasn't eaten me out of house and home yet, he's an ace at emptying out the fridge and the pantry. The amount of food I buy, prepare, and serve him is unbelievable.

He is totally into superheroes and dinosaurs and scooby doo. He loves playing on the tablet, especially when he can get his Daddy or Momma to play with him, but is equally happy to go run around the backyard or play at the park. I love that he isn't afraid to use his imagination, and he still thinks his sister and his parents are the best playmates.

Every year he manages to be better looking, more opinionated, more independent and smarter. I will happily answer every single time he says, "Momma, I have a question..." Even if it's 417th question of the morning.

Just when I think I couldn't possibly love him even more than I already do, he tells me that the two prettiest girls he knows are his sister and his momma. I melted!

Zachary is my mostly willing photo model, assistant chef, storyteller, inventor, dragon chaser, stuffed animal lover, roaring from the top of the stairs, stealth ninja karate kid, knock-you-over, fresh-water-please, I love you more than all the fill-in-the-blanks in the world, dance party any time of day, 5 year old son. I have loved being a Momma to this handsome little guy for the last 5 years!

Then and Now...

and everything in between!
