Pretty as a Pose-E

I love when I can sneak over to the other side of the lens and let Daddy get some great pictures of me and my little ones. It also makes me realize how much my kids look like me! and they're really cute kids... :)

sharing

Most little ones need to learn how to share, and Elara is no exception. She seems to share toys pretty well, trying to hand you any toy she is playing with. What she doesn't want to do, is share herself with anyone but Momma! Luckily she is finally getting (a little bit) over this hangup, and will take a round with a few other people (a bit unreliably).

A (musical) Note about E

Elara LOVES music. I've mentioned before that she stops crying when she hears music. She also can't let a beat stand alone, she has to bounce to it. Any toy that plays music has her full attention, and the little drum is a definite favorite, she can hit it AND it plays music.

I am lucky to have some great memories of times spent with my great grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa Pete were my Mom's grandparents, and lived right across the river from us. I can very distinctly remember Grandpa Pete's love for hot coffee and fishing, and dislike of white bread. Grandma Pete is a warm and soft memory. I remember her wearing an apron, and working in the kitchen. I'm so glad that my children are getting the same opportunity to know my grandparents. I wish they could know all of their great grandparents, but the opportunity to know at least some of that generation, is wonderful. My grandparents come to visit us, and spend all of their time with us when we visit. They don't hesitate for a second to involve themselves with the kids. Grandpa is right there on the floor playing with Elara, building a relationship with a fourth generation. I am so lucky.
