Stand Up Guy

Uncle Robert never complains of his back hurting, or his shoulders getting sore. Even when my children use his ears like handle bars, he happily continues on as a human jungle gym and stroller. Thanks Uncle Robert for being so easy going!

Dig Out Your Quarters

Between the quarter machines full of candy, and the merry go round, the Aunties' change purses didn't stand a chance!
This niece and nephew are totally worth it, right Auntie Lizzie and Auntie Kitty?

You're Welcome, Bloggies

My apologies to Poppa, but the internet would not be nearly as amusing a place, without these pictures of Poppa playing with Zachary and Elara. Who knows what kind of bib-hat fashion craze this might incite!

Repeat

The toys at grandma and grandpa's house have been very well loved over the years. The baby doll Elara was playing with, that belonged to either Nonna or Mame.I have very fond memories of playing with the little white cabinet, and the plastic toy dishes inside it. I'm happy to see Zachary and Elara carrying on the tradition, now it's their turn to have pretend tea parties, spill race cars all over the floor, and rock the babies to sleep.

If the baby fits...

Elara LOVES babies right now. She loves the baby song (rock-a-bye baby), and she loves all her baby dolls. They are given the best treatment. Walks in the stroller, all tucked in with a blanket and a lovey and the door from the TMNT Shellraiser. They are given delectable meals in the high chair. Yummy things like plastic french fries and pieces of string, and food Elara has stolen off of Zachary's lunch plate. She even tests out the baby furniture for sturdiness and comfort. You are going to be a wonderful Momma someday Elara.

This doesn't blow at all.

I usually think of bubbles as a messy activity. Because of the drips and spills and slimy wetness everywhere. But it's just soapy water, so maybe I need to start thinking of it as a bath with my clothes on. This time, I just let the kids sucker Auntie Lizzie into getting all lightheaded and dizzy from blowing hundreds of bubbles. This is also why I am encouraging Elara to learn how to blow bubbles by herself. She's getting better, especially when she doesn't up-end the bottle of bubble solution before she can get the wand dipped in for the first time.
