it's a tough life..

Z fell asleep before we could finish seeing all the animals at the zoo. Guess we'll just have to go again!

A Very Expensive Salad

At $2 per lettuce leaf, these giraffes better have been getting gourmet, organic, gold leaf lettuce. I'm thinking not, because that last giraffe was way more interested in getting a taste of Zachary than nomming on the most expensive salad ever. Thanks again to Uncle Robert for footing the bill!

Lorikeet Landing

Z's first pirate impression?

This was probably my favorite stop at the Zoo--and definitely the best dollar Uncle Robert has spent on me and Z! They give you a little cup of nectar, and let you in to feed the Lorikeets. Just don't ask Lauren to feed the birds, because you'll just end up covered in nectar.

My apologies to the llama.

Where the heck did he go?

I think maybe I saw him go that way?

Oh, there's the cool kid in the shades.

I know how the goats feel. I can just about keep up with Z all day long. He is almost always on the move. Right now the only thing he'll sit still for is the Disney movie Tangled!

Luckily I had lots of help while I was at the zoo--on this trip Nonna and Uncle Robert and Lauren were always right there to help chase down/corral Z man. Good thing too, because Z was really into the goats at the petting zoo in Niabi. He would run up and down along the fence yelling, "Doh! Doh!" DOH!"

Oh, and many apologies to this llama, who Z insisted on calling a cow, and begging for him to moo.

Everything Else is Irrelephant.

It's not that Z didn't think the elephants were awesome. He pointed, and laughed and made elephant noises the whole time we were watching them. But, he thought the elephant statue was just as awesome as the real elephants, and you could get a lot closer to the statue!
