Action Shots!

Yes, I fully realize Barrett is 6 weeks old, and I haven't even gotten to his birth on the blog yet. But, in my defense, it's not very easy to offload pictures, edit, type up blog posts, or make a sandwich with just one hand. Hey--I had a c-section, so that means I get 8 weeks of maternity leave, right? right?

These pictures are from two days before the delivery. Grandma Ann had the kids for an overnight, and then Nonna and Poppa made it into town, and took over keeping the kids entertained, and well, taking care of the kids in general. Thank goodness for grandparents--we couldn't do it without you! 

Wheels

Freedom! At least, freedom to ride to the stop sign, and then wait for Momma and Elara (and now Barrett!) to catch up. Zachary is FAST on his scooter, and we just can't keep up. So he knows that he can ride as far as certain landmarks (like the stop sign) and then he has to stop and wait, or ride back to us. Sometimes he will make several trips back and forth, waiting for us to catch up. Elara will get faster soon Buddy--but by then, we'll probably be waiting for Barrett to catch up!

little gymnast

Starting with the very first round of gymnastics, on the last day, I bring my good camera, and catch Elara in action. I love seeing her progress. She can now walk on the lower balance beam all by herself, and starts her forward roll from a standing position. Can't wait for the fall, to start up another round of class!

the baby wanted ice cream.

I'm up for any excuse to go and get ice cream. Pregnancy only increases the likelihood that I'll jump on the opportunity. Elara actually strayed from her favorite (doonilla) and had a blueberry ice cream. Zachary didn't stray at all, he had chocolate ice cream with hot fudge. Thanks Grandma Ann for treating us to Buttonwood!
