You really do learn to see things with fresh eyes when you have a toddler. Z was exploring in the kitchen, and the humidifier caught his attention. A puff of fog falling down from the air. He wanted to touch it, and taste it, and smell it and play with it. He looked at me with the question mark written all over his face. And after trying to determine the origins of this poof, he continued on with his explorations, sure that the puff wasn't going to reveal its secrets anytime soon. Z will undoubtedly return to this dilemma later, but for now, there are magnets on the fridge to hide!

Big Gulp

What a big boy!! Would you believe Z is now drinking half a gallon of milk (or more!) every 4 days??? He just guzzles it down. He's going to be just like his daddy...I am going to have to buy a fridge just to keep milk in stock!

Peek-a-Boo/Hide and Seek really is his favorite game right now. 

He wants to cover his head with a blanket or a convenient nearby curtain, and then he quietly waits for you to "lose" him.  

Zachary, where are you? Zachary?

Then he pops out, to your surprise and his delight, and much screaming is done by all.

Next is your turn to hide under the blanket, or just behind your own hands. 

He calls Momma? Momma? or Da-dee? While looking around, and occasionally answering No to his own question as to whether Daddy is hiding inside the Mickey Mouse airplane.

He pretends to uncover your secret location, despite knowing all along right where you are, and squeals happily.

Mah Mah, with the desperate signing of the word More.

And since you can't deny him anything, you "hide" again.

Apparently Z's first trip the pet store with Grandma Ann and Momma was exciting, but exhausting. 

Notice the chap-stick clutched in his hands, he never let go of it--even when he was fast asleep!

Grandma Ann got Zachary his very own kitchenette for Christmas. The burner lights up and makes sizzling noises when you put a pan on it, and there are little casserole dishes for Z to put in the oven. It even has a telephone hanging up on the wall! Too cool! (and even cooler that Z and his Momma didn't have to help put it together! Thanks family!)

Z is sitting on about 11.5 teeth right now. Those pesky molars aren't taking it easy on him. He's back to shoving into his mouth anything he can get his hands on (including his own hands!) There has been plenty of drool, sleepless nights, and mealtime boycotts. Though I suppose the teething isn't automatically to blame for all of that!
