sleeping beauty

Traveling definitely throws our routine out the window, and it usually takes some time for us to get Z back into his normal sleep patterns. That sometimes means that you have to let sleeping toddlers lie. Even if that means that you sacrifice naptime-freetime for a few moments of peace.

You'd think since Zachary is coming up on two years, that I would have had time to adjust, but I still almost wrote let sleeping babies lie. He's just catapulted into this toddlerhood, and while they warn you that it all goes so fast---they didn't necessarily warn me about how fast Z would go! He hardly sits still, always asking for the next activity. Yesterday I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride, really just a trip down the street to pick up some things from the Target, but you would have thought I was offering to take him to Moon for as excited as he was. (There is some speculation that Z was hoping for a repeat of his last car ride, which was a trip with Grandma Ann to Chuck E Cheese!) He's just so enthusiastic about everything, and always running full steam ahead. It's a full time job just trying to keep up!
