I can't believe Zachary's "little" cousin is 2 years old already!! He was running around the house, taking pictures of himself with his Mommy's camera, showing off his new toys to everyone, and having a blast. 2 years old is such a fun age--enjoy every minute of it Jayden! It certainly won't feel like long before we're celebrating 3rd birthdays!

Reinforcements
Z has an endless supply of energy (thanks to his daily 2+ hour nap, perhaps?) Thank goodness we have an awesome supply of family to help us keep up. Thanks Auntie Christine for helping wear him out this time!

Make your Case
I couldn't resist. We love you Case!
Your next visit will have to be at our new place in Mystic, but this place has a hot tub and I'll throw in a batch of Gamma Brownies! (I'll throw out whatever bribe I have to, in order to get you and Hillary to come visit us!) Friday, April 13, 2012
Trust Me.
Judging by the look on Z's face, I think Auntie Hillary just told Zachary that Timon and Pumba became the Kings at the end of Lion King.

What Goes Around...
The first time we met up with Case in Maryland we were celebrating the
purchase of our new townhouse, and everything in Maryland felt all
bright and shiny and new. We were newly graduated from college, with great jobs,
a big house all to ourselves, and Case was earning his badge at the Tomb. Case and Elizabeth helped us move Paul
out of his apartment, and into our new place. Here we are 7 years later,
Case is married to the beautiful Hillary, and currently deployed to
Afghanistan. Paul and I are married, with a 2 year old, and a baby on
the way, and a brand new bright and shiny future ahead of us in
Connecticut. It felt like coming full circle back to the beginning...we
even ate at Duclaw again. Except the townhouse wasn't feeling so big, or shiny, and we'd added some great new characters to the scene!
Oh, DuClaw...We are going to miss your yummy food, great atmosphere, and most of all, your beer. You're a tough act to follow, if it's even possible at all. But you have inspired us, and though we will surely fall far short of your quality, we started brewing a batch of beer on our own. More updates on that to come later!
Oh, and note to self, don't take pictures of Z eating the crayon box, even if you think it's cute. Just put the camera down, and extricate the box. This is certainly for the best.

A Walk in the Theme Park
Big Daddy Paul and little Z, my two favorite boys in the whole world. The two of them have an awesome dynamic, and I like to think I fit in there pretty good myself! It's so hard to believe that in just a few months here, we'll be adding a little girl to the mix. I definitely want her, this isn't regret or second thoughts. It's more a crazy disbelief that we're going to make our family even bigger. I think hormones worked some crazy magic on my brain, just long enough to repress the bad memories of my pregnancy with Z and his infancy. Just long enough for me to get pregnant again! Now I'm starting to recall the sleepless nights, and frequent blow outs. And this time, we can do it with a toddler in the house too. Oh this should be fun!

yeah, we think grandpa is crazy too.
But we like him this way! He wanted his picture taken with the Kwik-E-Mart, and we all paused long enough to let him point to his heart's content. Are you going to stop in and have a Squishee too? Love you Grandpa!
