Where the Wild Things Fall

My little wildlings adore being outside. Elara gets so happy when she sees me holding her jacket and shoes, and even just seeing her vest hanging on the hook is enough to get her running towards the front door. Zachary never wants to come back inside. Long after Elara and I are cold and tired, and ready to call it a day, Z is still tromping around the yard, digging and kicking and running around. Eventually he comes back in, usually just because he's hungry! We try to go for lots of walks around the neighborhood, we have little adventures and friends scattered throughout. This is so much more fun now that Elara is walking with us. Though she doesn't stay much on path, and she loves stopping to pick up rocks and sticks (Just like her brother did!)

I'm not looking forward to the bitter cold part of winter--I don't want to be cooped up any more than they will. Hope for a mild winter and an early spring!!
