Backyard Agains

After the cold of winter wears off, I see my back yard with fresh eyes. It stops being a cold, muddy, snowy place, and becomes a little slice of paradise. A place for my kids to get some runaround time without having to pile on seven layers and then spending the rest of the day doing laundry and drying out mittens and shaking off chills. They go outside and play with the little slide and fort. They climb on the rocks, and dig in the mulch. They kick the soccer ball, pretend to be lions, and play freeze tag. The sunshine is warm, and the grass is green. Our neighbor Colin loves to come visit and play with Z and E. I love seeing my backyard bright and full of flowers, and laughing children.
