The Hunt

Uncle Robert and Uncle Ben do not know how to do anything halfway. They colluded with the Easter Bunny to make sure all of us had a Happy Easter.
So long as you continue to do awesome things like this Poppa, I will continue to publish the pictures I take of you doing said things. This is blog post GOLD.
We have just learned that the Easter Egg Hunt is not just for Zachary and Elara. There is something for everyone.
Including prize baskets tailored to each person.
If you can bear to take your eyes off of the adorableness that is Elara in bunny ears, you'll see Amanda has spotted something gold in the Snowball tree, and Zachary cannot be contained to one picture frame.
Amanda will soon learn the precarious position she has put herself in to claim the golden egg for herself.
Easter Beer. Need I say more?
Zachary has donned a proper Easter Fedora, and is busy running around the yard and tossing eggs into his bag.
Nonna pretended to help Zachary, with the ulterior motive of stealing chocolate from the eggs she "helped" him find.
Megan also "helped" Elara. Noone else was pretending to help, they were too busy securing plastic eggs of yumminess for themselves.
Uncle Robert and Uncle Ben and the Easter Bunny hid hundreds and hundreds of eggs. Much like the Easter Grass inside, the eggs were EVERYWHERE.
You may have claimed the golden egg, Amanda, but you paid for it with a braid full of twigs, and a sore ankle. I hope your prize was worth it.
Hmm...which egg shall I pick up next? ALL OF THEM!
Except not these Zachary, these are just for Momma, Nonna, and the Aunties!

I'm telling you, EGGS EVERYWHERE.

An egg for this hand, an egg for that hand.
PEEM AYYYY. (Pink Eggs!)
No, she didn't win the grand prize, The Easter Uncles stole her car key and made her find the egg with the missing key in it!
Chanley, (whose name I will have to apologize for inevitably not spelling right, because clearly I'm just guessing) didn't get the memo that this was a key to a car Auntie Kitty already owned.
This hat is the best thing ever. seriously.

Now both Poppa and Auntie Kitty are "helping."

Elara looks a little suspicious, and a lot adorable. This might be her default expression.

All of these baskets can't begin to contain the awesomeness that was the Easter Egg Hunt the Easter Uncles put on for all of us. I am so lucky to have amazing brothers that enjoy doing these kinds of things for their niece and nephew (and the rest of us). We still have a big jar full of Easter Candy, and fun little easter toys littering the playroom. Nonna is probably still finding Easter Grass all over the house, and I'm going to guess there are probably still a few eggs in the back yard that haven't been uncovered yet! Thank you Uncle Robert and Uncle Ben, you prove your awesome uncle-ness all the time.
